Sprocket for the timing chain
This sprocket is pressed onto the crankshaft.
Yamaha does not offer this sprocket as a single part.
If the engine runs with your timing chain stretched so much that the timing chain tensioner can no longer compensate for it, then the timing chain swings to the side. This loose and swinging chain causes noise and wear on the timing chain pinion.
