EBC Brake Disk round with approval

The aim of the development is to improve the braking behavior compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3 micron thick zinc layer, which wears off in the area of the brake pad contact zone when braking. It is only in this area that light rust can form if the device is left standing for a longer period of time.

The brake discs are drilled in a bird's wing design in order to use as few holes as possible while at the same time optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
